I'm a Mutimodal learner

By taking the Vark Learning Styles Test I found out that I am a multimodal learner.  I vary in many different styles of learning but I am mostly a Kinesthetic learner leading by 4 or 5 points in Visual, Aural, and Read/Write learners.  I believe this test was accurate because I do many different kinds of learning styles to study the best.  I like to read and rewrite my notes to better retain information but I also like graphs when it comes to certain facts or figures or when it comes to comparing or contrasting.  When it comes to novels on the other hand, I retain information better when I watch the movie before I read the book.  But lastly, I feel I do a little bit of everything to retain the most amount of information possible.  I do although learn better and faster with hands on activities and real life examples and experiences.  I learn better and faster with hands on activities such as labs, doing problems, field trips, talking it out with another person, and experiences.

  1. Great reflection and hopefully you will not only use what you've found about your learning styles, but understand the importance of recognizing the differences in your classroom!
